Introduction

MOBA Trainer ("we," "our," or "us") respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your data. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you visit our website mobatrainer.gg (the "Website") or use our desktop application (the "App").

Information We Collect

We collect limited information from visitors of our Website, including:

  • Access and refresh tokens: We store secure tokens to enable basic functionality and to maintain your session with the desktop application if you choose to use it.
  • Game progress: When you play games on our Website, we store your progress (such as completed puzzles, scores, or achievements) using anonymous tokens. This progress can later be linked to your desktop application account if you choose to use the App.
  • User interactions: Through third-party analytics and advertising tools (for example Google Tag Manager, OpenPanel, and Vercel Web Analytics), we may collect information about how you use the Website, such as pages viewed and interactions, to measure performance and improve our services.
  • UTM parameters and referral context: When you visit with campaign links (UTM parameters or similar), we record those values locally, send them to our servers where needed for attribution, and pass relevant data to our analytics tools to understand traffic sources.
  • Device information: Basic information about your browser and device necessary for the website to function properly.
  • Cookies and similar technologies: We use cookies and local storage for essential website functionality and for analytics and marketing measurement as described in this policy.

We do not collect personal identifiers such as your name, email address, or account details through the Website. Any personal information is only collected and processed within our desktop application subject to its own terms and privacy policy.

How We Use Your Information

We use the limited information we collect for specific purposes:

  • To provide basic website functionality through secure token storage
  • To store and track your game progress
  • To analyze website performance and user experience, including through third-party analytics services
  • To analyze traffic sources through UTM and referral data
  • To link your web session and game progress with the desktop application (only if you choose to use the App)
  • To improve our services and user experience

Cookies and Tracking Technologies

We use cookies, local storage, and similar technologies for the purposes described here. By continuing to use the Website, you acknowledge our use of cookies for core functionality and for analytics and marketing measurement, as explained in our cookie notice. We do not provide a separate in-site control panel to disable analytics cookies; you can limit cookies through your browser settings (which may affect how the Website works).

We use these categories:

  • Strictly necessary: Required for basic operation of the Website, including storing an anonymous key and secure access and refresh tokens so you can use interactive features and keep progress tied to your session.
  • Analytics and marketing: We load Google Tag Manager and related tags (which may include Google Analytics or similar tools configured there), Google Ads conversion scripts, Vercel Web Analytics, and OpenPanel product analytics to measure traffic, campaigns, site performance, and high-level product interactions such as download or navigation CTA clicks. UTM and visit metadata may be sent to our backend and to these tools via the data layer or analytics events.

When you first visit, we show a short notice that points to this policy. Acknowledging it records analytics consent for product analytics such as OpenPanel and UTM attribution. Vercel Web Analytics is used for cookieless, aggregated website measurement, and Google tags may also run as configured for advertising and measurement. The Website currently does not provide a separate in-site analytics preferences panel.

Desktop Application Connection

Our Website and desktop application can be linked through anonymous tokens. This linking process happens when you download and authorize the desktop application.

How it works:

  • When you visit our Website, we generate an anonymous token stored in your browser.
  • If you play games on our Website, your progress is associated with this anonymous token.
  • The Website allows limited gameplay (one game per day), while the desktop application offers extended gameplay options.
  • When you install and authorize the desktop application, a redirection through our Website occurs to retrieve the anonymous token and associate it with your application account.
  • This process allows us to transfer your existing game progress from the Website to the application without requiring separate account creation on the Website.

For information about data collection in the desktop application, please refer to the application's specific privacy policy, which is presented during installation.

Your Data Protection Rights

Depending on your location and applicable laws, you may have the following rights regarding your data:

  • The right to access information stored about you
  • The right to request deletion of analytics cookies and UTM data
  • The right to object to certain processing where applicable law allows

To exercise any of these rights, or to ask how to limit cookies in your browser, please contact us at support@mobatrainer.gg.

Third-Party Services

We use Google Tag Manager (and tags it may load, such as Google Analytics), Google Ads conversion measurement, OpenPanel product analytics, and Vercel Web Analytics. These services may use cookies, local storage, or similar technologies where applicable and are governed by their respective privacy policies and terms. We use them to understand website usage, measure campaigns, and improve the product experience.
